Investigating the inclusion of people with disabilities in higher education courses in the health area means undertaking a study of strong relevance since such courses have specificities that can interfere with the process of educational inclusion as a whole. It is a priority to make the university a more inclusive place, since, by being truly welcoming, not only students with disabilities benefit, but the entire university community. Social psychology, especially the theory of social representations, can greatly contribute to understanding the common sense perceptions that are socially shared among social groups regarding people with disabilities and the inclusion conditions that universities offer. It is expected that this study will provide significant knowledge about inclusion in higher education from the perspectives of social representations, both from the point of view of university professors and students with disabilities undergoing training in medical courses. The results may contribute to the development of more inclusive policies and practices in higher education institutions, specifically in these courses that supposedly may present greater resistance to making both the methodologies for developing skills and the possibilities of evaluating them in the face of different physical disabilities more flexible. , sensory and neurocognitive aspects of students entering universities.
