INFORMATIZATION, EVALUATION AND MONITORING OF A PROFESSIONAL ORIENTATION PROGRAM IN GROUP FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

This research proposes the implementation of a quasi-experimental and correlational study, of longitudinal format and quali-quantitative approach. Its objective was to computerize a Group Career Guidance Program and monitor its applicability in diversified samples of schools considering the perception of both counselors and students. The project's focus was to enable young people to create life projects in the post-pandemic world. Its justification is based on the need to better support the adolescent population in making more assertive and secure career choices. The study involved 149 students, aged between 14 and 56 years old, 105 (70.5%) female and 44 (29.5%) male, distributed across the 3 years of high school: 31 (20.8%) in the 1st year, 66 (44.3%) in the 2nd year, and 52 (34.9%) in the 3rd year. A total of 53 schools participated in the study, forming 3 categories: 15 (10.1%) Private, 28 (18.8%) Federal Public, and 106 (71.2%) State Public. There was also a second type of participant sample composed of 18 psychology undergraduates, aged between 21 and 34 years old, who were in the 5th period or above, and who received training to apply the Group Career Guidance Program Online - POPG online. Six instruments were used in data collection: (1) EMEP; (2) EIV; (3) Sociodemographic Questionnaire; (4) Focus Group; (5) Semi-structured Interview, and (6) Mixed Questionnaire. The results collected by quantitative instruments will be analyzed using SPSS, version 18.0. As a main result, we found that after students completed the OCGP online, the level of maturity for career choice increased and the level of indecision decreased. Unanimously, all final students reported having an expansion of awareness regarding their future choices. The feedback from counselors regarding the OCGP online was that the program is a valid, functional, and approved tool.
