SUMMARY:

This doctoral thesis analyses Black women's entrepreneurship in Brazil from a central thesis — understood as an interpretive argument, and not as a hypothesis to be tested statistically, given the documentary nature of the research: entrepreneurial autonomy depends simultaneously on a material infrastructure — public policy, credit, networks, markets and social protection — and on a psychological infrastructure — the constitution of identity, self-esteem and belonging —, both crossed by intersectionality. The theoretical axis is organised around Carl Gustav Jung's Analytical Psychology, mobilised to understand how the identity, persona, shadow, individuation process and, above all, the self-esteem and belonging of the Black woman entrepreneur are constituted within Brazilian society. This axis is read in direct dialogue with the psychoanalyst Neusa Santos Souza, whose analysis of “becoming Black” and of the white ego-ideal racialises the constitution of identity; with Frantz Fanon, who historicises it; with the sociologist Lélia Gonzalez, who articulates belonging, Amefricanity and cultural representations; with the work psychologist Cida Bento, who examines institutional recognition and the whiteness pact; and with the North American legal scholar Kimberlé Crenshaw, whose intersectionality runs through the entire path. The materiality of social inequality is grounded in the critical economics of Paul Singer, João Carlos Nogueira and Mauro Oddo Nogueira, and in the social-reproduction analysis of Silvia Federici and Heleieth Saffioti. The research problem, turned into a thesis, arises from the coexistence between the high participation of Black women in entrepreneurial activities and the historical Brazilian persistence of inequalities in income, formalisation, credit, market access, social protection and business continuity. The investigation is applied, exploratory and descriptive, document-based and mixed-method, developed under Design Science Research (DSR). The final corpus brings together 195 intellectually unique documents, organised according to their empirical, theoretical, institutional, normative or ontological nature. From this corpus the UbuntuGraph was built — a knowledge diagram, with or without graphic animation, presented in an ontological layer with epistemological typing, whose analytical version contains a network of 115 nodes and 132 unique structural edges on the social condition of Black women. The analysis employs degree centrality, node and edge betweenness, closeness and community detection, always with the caveat that centrality describes the organisation of knowledge in the corpus and does not constitute psychological diagnosis, causal proof or population prevalence. The Black Woman Entrepreneur node presents the highest normalised degree centrality (0.912), followed by Business (0.105) and Public Policies (0.061). The Jungian-intersectional reading of self-esteem and belonging pertains to the theoretical plane and remains distinct from the computational results. As a translational contribution, five axes of intersectional affirmative policies are formulated, treated as normative propositions to be assessed for feasibility and impact. Structural validation and human curation were carried out during the construction of the artefact; external validation was conducted with five specialists in economics, administration, entrepreneurship and gender and race studies, who issued a global validation opinion of the artefact (100% of the evaluators), with high agreement regarding the conceptual consistency, semantic structure, traceability and translational usefulness of the UbuntuGraph.
