Ethnic-racial differences in early maladaptive schemas and schema modes
ethnic-racial differences, maladaptive early schemas, schematic modes, Schema Therapy, race.
Racial minorities show greater vulnerability in health indicators due to the impact of social oppression processes associated with racism. However, Brazilian clinical psychology has little data and few evidence-based intervention proposals for promoting health in these groups. Since the black population is the majority of the Brazilian population and shows more evidence of interpersonal and structural discrimination, the aim of this project is to investigate the main ethnic-racial differences in early maladaptive schemas (EMS) and schema modes across different racial groups. The presence and valence of specific schemas and modes between groups will be examined, as well as a comparative analysis within the black group (composed of "pretos" and "pardos") to identify possible differences between the subgroups that make up the black population.
