ABSTRACT
This research investigates the Social Representations of the "domestic worker" among a broad female audience, emphasizing the interface between these shared knowledges and the identity construction of Black workers from Baixada Fluminense. Grounded in Social Representations Theory (MOSCOVICI, 2003) and intersectionality (CRENSHAW, 2002), it adopts a qualitative design. An online questionnaire with the Free Word Association Task (stimulus: "domestic worker") will be applied, and data will undergo prototypical analysis (IRaMuTeQ) to identify central and peripheral elements of the representation. The analytical focus falls on elements anchored in race, gender, class, and territory, articulating anchoring and objectification (MOSCOVICI, 2003) with contributions from Gonzalez (1988), Kilomba (2019), and Bento (2022). The study seeks to understand how hegemonic representations influence these women's identity construction and their tensions with professional regulation (PEC das Domésticas).
