RESUMO:

The distinction of singularities at school should enable the constitution of practices that are peculiar to the peculiarities in the student's schooling process, making possible the affirmation of the student as an autonomous subject. However, sometimes, this distinction is characterized as negative to education, having legitimation through medical diagnosis that justifies non-learning and prescribes medications aiming at improving student results, as well as adjusting their behavior to a standard expected by the team. pedagogical This practice, however, removes the student from his place of subject by neglecting his particular way of being and living learning, stigmatizing it; defining their way of learning as deficient or as a disease. This practice characterizes the process of medicalization of education, where medical jurisdiction assigns a biochemical treatment, based on the biologizing view of life, to a behavior that is transformed into pathology, thus erasing discourses in the social area that could be made. respect of the problem. Medicalization is currently the subject of study in different areas and has different conceptions about its installation. Therefore, this work aims to make a brief literary review on the subject, from the 1960s to the present. It aims to verify its application in the area of education, besides investigating the impact of psychiatric diagnosis on daily life and school practices in early childhood education. It is intended to know how the school, faculty and collaborating professionals, perceive the child who has a psychiatric report about the so-called learning disorders; if the school prepares any different activity or action related to what the report points out; or if there is a proposal from the municipal secretary to work with the difficulties associated with the diagnosis. For this, a qualitative research will be done through interviews and focus group with the faculty and the pedagogical team, in two schools of Nova Iguaçu.
