RESUMO:

This work offers an opportunity to reflect on Education for Thinking in order to find a democratic ideal, which strengthens solidarity and participatory citizenship. Philosophical knowledge is capable of causing uneasiness to the individual, for philosophy has the capacity to take the human from his comfort zone, from his lethargy; leads to a deep dive into knowledge, which becomes the motor, the cause of intellectual stimulation. Two authors stand out in this area: Matthew Lipman with Philosophy for Children, and Franco Lo Presti Seminerio with Metaprocess; both theories as contributors to the advancement in education. Lipman's research has as main objective to develop a rationality according to the cultivation and the strengthening of dialogic-investigative abilities. It seeks to take the child along the paths of reflection, through the exercise of thought, and through his or her inquiries. In Seminerio, the metacognitive concept that corresponds to the thoughts and knowledge produced by individuals about their own thoughts is presented, which contributes to education by raising the skills of cognitive monitoring and self-regulation, which he calls directed Driven Elaboration. The general objective of this research is to verify the theoretical contributions of Lipman and Seminerio to education, based on their concepts of Community Research and Directed Elaboration, respectively. The specific objectives are: a) to highlight the main concepts of Lipman and Seminerio to education, raising the constituent elements of its structuring; b) compare or relate the two key concepts about thinking, thinking about education, the Research Community and Directed Development; c) discuss the educational implications arising from the reflection on the ideas of Lipman and Seminerio. The bibliographical research will be the methodology used in the works of these authors, their interlocutors and other scientific productions that collaborate in the theoretical discussion within the last 10 years. The research indexes will be: research community, philosophy for children, metacognition, metaprocess, directed elaboration, in the portals: Periodicoscapes, Bank of dissertations and theses, PubMed.
