RESUMO:

In recent years attention practices grew towards children and adolescents, allowing access to a public network and intersectoral care, in order to offer an integral service to that portion of the population. The Statute of the child and adolescent (ECA), as well as the Federal Constitution (CF), predict that health and institutional host are child and adolescent rights and duties of the State and shall be guaranteed through articulated actions and services attention. However, if rights operacionalizam not always effectively. Several challenges are encountered in the construction of the care network, as well as in the development of practices sensitive to mental health of children and adolescents in situation of vulnerability and social risk. The present study aims to investigate the practices of mental health care for children and adolescents in situation of institutional childcare in shelters. In this paper we will use the qualitative methodology, conducted semi-structured interviews, in order to understand how the professionals of the children's Day-care centre (Center (CAPSi)) and the institutional working for shelter construction and practice of mental health care for children and adolescents institutionalized.
