SUMMARY:

This project aims to verify how the technical work of the professionals of a Specialized Reference Center for Social Assistance in a municipality in Rio de Janeiro occurs in the face of the process of family reintegration of children and adolescents institutionally welcomed. To understand such phenomena, the Ecological Insertion method will be used. The need to deepen a look at this process is based primarily on a right provided for in the Statute of the Child and Adolescent, in Article 19, the right to family and community coexistence and the primacy in attempts to return the child and adolescent to the family environment; but also in studies that point to a need for more research and interventions on strengthening bonds and family reintegration in the context of the Specialized Reference Center for Social Assistance. An Integrative Literature Review will also be carried out in order to understand what has been developed in research within this theme.
