SUMMARY:

Slavery is pointed out by Jungians as one of the main traumas of Brazilian culture. Its affective charge, associated with memories, ideas, images and correlated behaviors, seems to constitute the perpetuation of a specific and active cultural complex, in the context of employment relationships that reproduce a veiled or unconscious slavery. In this way, this research proposes to investigate the possible existence of a slavery cultural complex, present in labor relations with low-income workers, even if under the guardianship of a specific legislation. Therefore, the method used in this proposal will be in accordance with the epistemological field of psychology by Carl Gustav Jung, that is, the constructive-synthetic and the symbolic-archetypal, as well as bibliographical reviews and statistical data, limited to the first twenty of the 21st century, focusing on the population of the State of Rio de Janeiro.
