Worker’s Health Culture; Organizational Culture. Federal Universities; Emancipatory Dialogical Narrative Analysis. Instructions to the Look-alike.
Going through the conceptual possibility of a "worker’s health culture” the study proposes to investigate it by verifying the cultural elements related to the worker’s health in Federal Universities in the Rio de Janeiro State (FU-RJ) and it’s interface with the organizational culture in these work environments. We are interested in studying the possibility of affirming these cultural elements by considering the way in which worker’s health problems are identified and dealt with in the FU-RJ, as well as the successful ways of dealing with these shared issues. This, the study starts from conceptual assumptions of health (WHO and Dejours), culture (Geertz) and organizational culture (Schein) as well as methodological assumptions (Emancipatory Dialogical Narrative Analysis-ANDE and Instructions to the Look-alike) to look at looks at possible weaving of organizational cultural webs contemplating practices for the management of worker’s health problems possible weaving of organizational cultural webs contemplating practices for the management of worker's health problems affecting the cultural weavers themselves. The investigation proposal is a qualitative/quantitative approach to be carried out in two phases. The first phase will be a bibliographic and bibliometric research type scoping review. The second, survey research with a sample using the “snowball” technique, evaluating the organizational culture of the FU-RJ by using the Brazilian instrument for the Assessment of Organizational Culture (IBACO, in the short version) available online. For the second phase of the study, we will apply the Emancipatory Dialogical Narrative Analysis associated with the technique of the instructions to the Look-alike for analysis by the workers themselves examining their daily work habits and health problems that present themselves as a result, verifying visible artifacts, beliefs and values as well as less evident, but also structural basic assumptions.
