The sports phenomenon is a prosperous field, whether in the sphere of high performance, school or leisure for studies involving women and their corporeity. Women have occupied more spaces and gained more rights over the years. In the field of sports, in more remote times, the belief was widespread and naturalized that women would not fit body practices that could corrupt their grace and femininity. Being the same banned from various sports competitions and prohibited from practicing certain modalities on a daily basis because they are considered unfit to do so. The Theory of Social Representations (SR) presents itself as a field of knowledge in order to establish an understanding of shared practices and thoughts in society. Representations are generated to transform unfamiliar social contents into something that is consensual and known and among these shared issues, it is noted that contemporary society is still experiencing remnants of processes that tried to impute the notion that groups that are socially marginalized do not deserve visibility, not space. Therefore, when considering the idea that the university is constituted as a space for the construction of knowledge, this study was developed from this perspective. The objective was to investigate the Social Representations of women practitioners of fights, from the perspective of university students of Physical Education courses. The sample consisted of 137 female and male students, from different periods of completion of the course. For the development of this study, the Structural Approach of Social Representations was used, which establishes that there is a central nucleus and a peripheral system when hierarchically organizing the generated cognems. To this end, a sociodemographic and free evocation questionnaire was used with the inducing term “women who practice fighting”, data that were analyzed using the Iramuteq® software. The results point out that the vision of objectification and hypersexualization of these women who practice fights is almost non-existent and possibly this is due to the fact that the studied population has a greater awareness of this reality, in this way, it tends to more easily naturalize the woman who fights. The aspect of strength and the view that they are strong guides what this group represents about these women and this view is indifferent even in the variables gender or periodization of the course. With an emphasis that the cognem defense was evoked mostly by women, which demonstrates a concern in taking care of themselves.
