SUMMARY:

            The school environment is a mandatory space for all Brazilians, established by national law, which determines the insertion of individuals from 4 to 17 years of age. Due to the conversion of this initial and extensive period in human life, it is necessary to carry out an in-depth investigation into the functioning of the school in its contemporary neoliberal model and the production of subjectivity arising from this institution. The present work aimed to analyze, through the Cartographic Method, the processes of production of subjectivity of adolescents inserted in the school context, seeking to identify the hard, malleable and escape lines of forces that cross this territory and what is produced from the encounter between adolescents and the school institution. This is a qualitative research that was carried out from group and workshop devices with adolescents from the Technical College of UFRRJ (CTUR) aged between 14 and 18 years. Two workshops with an average duration of 100 minutes were held, one with the first year of high school and the other with the third year, bringing as a background the experience in the school environment, containing three questions-devices that guided the workshops: "What is school for?", "What do you think about the public contest to enter the school?", "What would a utopian school be like?". In addition to the workshops, drift exercises and conversation circles were carried out in the school spaces during the adolescents' break. At the end of each day inhabiting the CTUR as a foreign researcher, a logbook was written with the aim of narrating and accompanying the processes of subjectivation of adolescents incorporated into the contemporary school context. With this work, we identified that instituting lines of forces with a disruptive power emerged in adolescents, amid the hard and instituted lines of forces, produced by the neoliberal political project present in institutions and that persists in capturing subjectivities.
