SUMMARY:

Sexuality is a central aspect of being human, present throughout all stages of life. It results from the complex interaction of biological, psychological, social, economic, political, cultural, ethical, legal, historical, religious, and spiritual factors. This dimension manifests in diverse ways, being expressed through thoughts, fantasies, desires, beliefs, attitudes, values, behaviors, practices, roles, and relationships. This study aims to give visibility to the experiences of sexuality among homosexual men aged 50 or older, identifying the challenges and specificities faced by this group in the aging process while living with HIV, and exploring the affective and sexual experiences, as well as the construction of these men's identities throughout this process. The research is grounded in studies on sexuality, queer theory, and queer gerontology, focusing on critical approaches to sexuality and aging, thereby broadening the visibility of bodies and subjectivities that age outside hegemonic social standards and questioning traditional, universal, and homogeneous models. This qualitative exploratory research will be conducted through semi structured interviews at the Gaffrée and Guinle University Hospital and at the Non-Governmental Organization - Grupo pela VIDDA (RJ) and the data will be analyzed using Amedeo Giorgi's phenomenological method.
