According to the Brazilian Association of Collective Health, violence is the leading cause of death in children and adolescents. Child and youth violence has established itself as a public health problem to be fought by the state, society and their families. It is considered a risk factor for the individual's life, generating psychopathologies such as posttraumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders, depression, learning and personality disorder. In addition, violence affects the cognitive and emotional resources that children and adolescents have to deal with the evolving tasks of their development. The new cognitive behavioral therapies have shown good results with regard to clinical cases considered severe, including changes in the subject's way of facing and accepting their difficulties, minimizing psychological distress. Taking into account the damage caused by violence and the complexity of these cases, Schema Therapy can be very useful for the management of dysfunctional schemes that may possibly be developed by the experience of violence, as it allows to meet the emotional needs of the child. and the adolescent and build a parenting structure of competence. This study aims to investigate the maladaptive initial schemes developed in adolescent victims of violence. For this purpose, an Integrative Review of the Scheme Therapy Literature with adolescent victims of violence was initially conducted, which indicated articles published from 2016 to 2018. The main themes of the studies were the identification and psychoeducation of early maladaptive schemes, followed by by the theme of negative parenting practices related to the development of dysfunctional schemes. From this Review, this research intends to investigate a clinical sample in psychological care at Associação Vida Plena de Mesquita-RJ. The services are coordinated by the Laboratory of Studies on Violence against Children and Adolescents of the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (LEVICA). Data collection questionnaires will be used for adolescents and semi-structured interviews for psychologists and interns. Finally, assessments at cognitive and behavioral levels minimize the consequences of child and youth violence. Thus, it is believed that this research can contribute to the construction of resources that support adolescents in understanding their initial schemes in the therapy process.
