Application of the clinical model of Child Regulation Therapy for emotional regulation for child victims of violence.

The development of emotional regulation skills in childhood has been investigated as a way to prevent lifelong psychopathology. Numerous conditions can affect such abilities and cause significant damage, including violence. This study aims to investigate the impact of the Child Regulation Therapy protocol on emotional regulation strategies in children and adolescents victims of violence in the city of Volta Redonda / RJ. It aims to develop emotional self-regulation skills in children through targeted activities that allow the construction of an adaptive repertoire. The research will be conducted with children from 8 to 11 years old in the city of Volta Redonda / RJ and the sample will be selected through the Children's House. This is a descriptive and correlational study, with a sample selected for convenience and qualitative-quantitative approach. To perform the protocol, the experimental group and the control group will be created through randomization, with pre- and post-intervention evaluation to analyze the research results.
