RESUMO:

Equine Assisted Therapy (TAE) has been developing in Brazil and at the world, and its results have been recognized in the fields of education and health. However, there is a shortage in the specialized literature on the subject. Gestalt therapy (GT) values the holistic view of man and the perception and awareness of current experience (here and now) with influence on self-regulation. Both proposals are based on interactional quality. The relationship created in TAE between the human being and the horse stirs the emotional, creating such a natural and intense affective bond, being one of the central points of psychotherapies, bringing numerous benefits and generating major changes. This research aims to investigate the intertwining between Equine Assisted Therapy (TAE) and the foundations of Gestalt Therapy (GT), highlighting the characteristics of the psychotherapist. A descriptive, qualitative, self-narrative research of the researcher herself as an expert psychologist in the field is proposed. The narrative is considered as an expression of being in interaction, in different modalities. In this sense, data collection will be used self-narrative materials such as reports, field diaries, photographs, and videos. The thematic axis will be the professional experience in TAE. The analysis will be based on the Emancipatory Dialogical Narrative Analysis, focusing on interactions and the inclusion of the researcher's gaze to himself. It is expected to contribute to the advance in the area with the theoretical systematization resulting from the intertwining theory and practice.
