RESUMO:

The present work carries out a pragmatic reflection on the socio-religious phenomenon of the Yorùbá culture existing in the religion and philosophy of Candomblé. It is a qualitative research from the symbolic-archetypal perspective, as a possibility to observe and reflect the world, which incorporates the ontological, epistemological and methodological elements of the Jungian psychology paradigm. The work finds that ẹbọ ẹ̀jẹ̀ (blood sacrifice) as a religious phenomenon is present in the archetype of primeval peoples. Based on Carl Gustav Jung's complex psychology propositions, the dissertation verifies archetypal characteristics present in the interaction and harmony between the human being and the Òrìṣà (the divine). The characteristics are in the primeval peoples who share archetypal expressions and symbols in the religere of the human being with the divinity, to obtain a harmonious relationship between Ọ̀run and Àiyé. The dissertation uses hermeneutic tools in the idioms of the Yorùbá language, to explain the manifestation of the collective unconscious in the harmonious Ọ̀run-Àiyé interaction. And verify that ẹbọ ẹ̀jẹ̀ presents an archetypal ontology of thanks to Òrìṣà in the religion and philosophy of Candomblé. Thus, the dissertation proves that Candomblé is a religion and philosophy existing in Brazil and must be respected by other religions in the country, especially in the matter of its liturgy.
