RESUMO:

Through a historical analysis we can note the growing discussion regarding the rights and duties of the subject as a social being delineated on a gender perspective. Although the Brazilian Constitution establishes that all citizens have the same rights and duties, there is a different representation for men and women, which is effective through psychological violence against physical aggression against the female gender, with feminicide as its apex. Feminicide is the violent death of women motivated by gender issues, the results of an anti-feminist sexist terror motivated by a sense of ownership, hatred and contempt of man against the female figure. For this, we will use the Theory of Social Representations, created by Moscovici, where knowledge is shared socially to give meaning to social phenomena, formed by the knowledge of common sense and the group shares that result in the understanding of objects, people, situations with which there is no familiarity. The method will consist of two studies: The first one on the Brazilian media, through the analysis of two large newspapers of great circulation: O GLOBO and FOLHA DE SÃO PAULO. For analysis of data will be used the software: IRAMOTEQ. And the second refers to the application of a questionnaire to the UFRRJ students distributed between the female and male sex, which will contain open and closed questions. Open questions will be analyzed as an aid to EVOC software and closed questions through SPSS.
