The present work has the objective of discussing the possible intersections and dialogues regarding the performance of Psychology in the educational scenario, specifically with regard to practices that aim to intervene in the face of the school complaint. The theoretical assumptions adopted in the present study are approaching a critical perspective, which allows to provide subsidies so that one can think about the dynamics and the reasons for the referrals of school complaints that are made within the municipality of Seropédica. It seeks to understand this dynamics and functioning through the teachers who work in basic education, having as its guiding axis issues associated with the phenomenon of school failure and medicalization in the educational scenario.
