SUMMARY:

Information War is a contemporary phenomenon resulting from profound changes in the use of technology brought about by post-modernity. It is known that it is an exclusively human activity that seeks the manipulation of the masses through the use of psychology - individual and/or collective - to produce an attitude favorable to the strategic interests of the manipulator. Thus, from the theoretical and practical epistemological field of Complex Psychology, by Carl Gustav Jung, and in interdisciplinary dialogue with art, religion, philosophy and science, the present work seeks to clarify the psychic mechanisms involved in this obscure interaction: manipulation-alienation. The methodology of this thesis, based on the Jungian paradigm, uses the contributions of authors who seek alternatives to overcome limitations of the scientific paradigm of modernity, and, thus, ratifies the vanguard of Carl Gustav Jung's scientific thought. It was also verified that in the passage from modernity to post-modernity, the nebulous conditions necessary for the advent of information warfare have been established that only by an individual-collective initiative, and here including the States, will it be possible to adopt a spiritual attitude to protect a nation from the nefarious manipulation that alienates individuals and the masses.
