SUMMARY:

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many people had their lives impacted and had to adhere to new practices such as wearing a mask and social isolation, sometimes moving away from their professional and social activities. Executive functions make it possible to target goals, assess the behaviors adopted for this, discard those that are not effective, solve problems that may arise along the way, and make decisions that are congruent with expectations. At this point, emotions play a fundamental role, and the way the subject deals with them can have a direct influence on the choices he makes. The present study aims to investigate the impact of emotion dysregulation on executive functions in Post-Covid patients. Patients from the Piquet Carneiro Polyclinic who were diagnosed with COVID-19 and referred by SISREG for care at the Post-Covid clinic will participate in the research. They will be divided into three groups according to the respiratory severity of the disease in its acute phase. To investigate the changes will be used scales and neuropsychological tests focusing on executive functions and emotion regulation. Thus, it is intended to contribute to the understanding of new possibilities and therapies to be adopted in neuropsychology and psychotherapies.
