DANCE LABORATORY: BODY AND SUBJECTIVITY ANALYSIS

The present research is a deepening of the body-mind connection through the conduction of contemporary dance workshops carried out by the researcher at the Centro de Arte e Cultura of the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro. The relationships between bodies and their production of desires and meanings were investigated based on proposed practices and studies in philosophy, with the objective of carrying out a study in body psychology supported by a practical philosophy. To do so, it produces an analysis of the bodily experiences and subjective processes of the Dance Laboratory, intending to collaborate with studies on the body and subjectivity from an ethical-aesthetic-political perspective. The method comprises a performative somatic cartography of dance workshops and studies in philosophy, as well as a review of current theses in psychology that address the body. The results are the very description and analysis of the process that evidenced the potency of desires in the intensive encounters between bodies and thoughts.
