SUMMARY:

This study investigates historical moments of disconnection between humanity and the Sacred Feminine, exploring its sociocultural and mythological roots across Europe, Africa, and the Americas (Brazil). Adopting a qualitative and interdisciplinary approach grounded in the complex psychology of psychiatrist and psychologist Carl Gustav Jung, the research analyzes how the rise of patriarchy and Eurocentrism resulted in the marginalization of the feminine and the fragmentation of the human psyche. Despite this, the presence of the feminine remains strong: Mother Nature is still revered among Indigenous peoples yet neglected in urban environments and land exploitation. Through a bibliographic review and the archetypal symbolic method, the study seeks to understand the role of ancestral narratives and historical events such as the witch hunts and the suppression of female power in citizenship in illustrating a broader cultural journey. The focus lies in the symbolic interpretation of the ancestral feminine, examining archetypes such as the Great Mother, Anima/Animus, and the Shadow, as well as concepts like Alchemy and the collective unconscious, among others from Jung’s work. The research also addresses the historical distortions caused by patriarchy, aiming to highlight and reclaim the full autonomy of feminine pleasure as vital to life. In this context, the concept of matriarchy is not understood as a reversal of patriarchy, but as a social system based on reciprocity, cooperation, and the sanctity of life. The timeless dimension of the relationship between the feminine and the feline is analyzed as a symbol of freedom and untamed power, resistant to domestication and repression. Thus, the research recovers silenced and distorted archetypal narratives of the female social role across Africa, Europe, and the Americas (Brazil), envisioning the reconstruction of a more just and balanced world in which the feminine and masculine are integrated in a complementary way.
