SUMMARY:

         This study analyzes, through the musical work of Abebe Bikila Costa dos Santos (BK'), the processes of subjectivity production that permeate the experience of Black and peripheral youth in the city of Rio de Janeiro within the context of neoliberalism. To this end, we carried out a cartography of the intensities present in the lyrics of the albums Castelos e Ruínas (2016), Gigantes (2018), O Líder em Movimento (2020), Cidade do Pecado (2021), Ícarus (2022), and Diamantes, Lágrimas e Alguns Rostos para Esquecer (2025). The methodology involved the careful selection of songs and excerpts, as well as the creation of a field diary as a clinical-political intervention device. The analysis was grounded in the concepts of necropolitics and becoming-black, from Achille Mbembe (2014), articulated with the concept of territory from Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari (1980), and contributions by Domenico Hur, Frantz Déus, and Suely Rolnik on dispositif, micropolitics, neoliberal capitalism, and collective assemblages of enunciation. As a result, we observed that Abebe Bikila's music carries in its lyrics the relationship between racism and neoliberalism. Across different albums, the artist manages to express, through events of his life imbued with affects and feelings, how capitalist structures and racism intersect and affect him. We conclude that BK's compositions reveal how necropolitics crosses and constitutes his subjectivity, but also operate as lines of flight for the creation of new existential territories.
