RESUMO:

The dissertation proposes to reflect on the conditions and manifestations, individual and collective, to interact with the transcendent function of Jungian psychology, in the symbolic dynamics of contemporary life. Since it is a central concept in the theoretical construct of analytic psychology, the concept of transcendent function refers to a field of psychic operations that, through the competition of symbols, transform the energy of the unconscious into an archetypal image, establishing, through an effective exchange natural) between consciousness and the unconscious instance, a fundamental energy flow for the maintenance of psychic homeostasis. Carl Gustav Jung, throughout his work, emphatically emphasized the damage done to the psyche, when the symbolic function fails, and that exchange is no longer natural. Against the backdrop of a diagnosis of the increased incidence of psychic disorders today, the dissertation seeks to investigate the relationships between the social processes of symbolic production; the sickness of individual and collective psychic experience; and to verify the construction of new subjectivities in order to subsidize a psychiatric clinic centered on the heart of the individual and collective dilemmas of contemporary society. In order to research, structure and develop the dissertation, besides the work of the psychiatrist and Swiss psychologist Carl Gustav Jung, the dissertation draws on the reflections of authors such as Ernst Cassirer, Theodor Adorno, Franco Basaglia, Robert Dany Dufour, Robert Whitaker and others. present the reflection and understanding of the studies carried out.
