RESUMO:

The research aims to investigate the perspective of graduates in the prison system on the return to society. In order to do so, it will be necessary to conceptualize the historical model of punishments, as well as to describe the Brazilian penitentiary system and the politics of attention to the distressed and to seek concepts of social psychology to explain social exclusion, stigma, prejudice and resocialization. The aim is to investigate how the egress leaves the prison system and returns to society; analyze the difficulties encountered by the egress in society and what are the future life prospects; and present the possibilities that will facilitate the resocialization of the egress in the social environment and the means to reduce recidivism in the prison system. The method to be used will be through interviews with graduates of an open regime prison located in a municipality in the interior of the State of Rio de Janeiro. To finalize the project, content analysis will be carried out according to Laurence Bardin's theories. Through this, it will be possible to analyze the data and obtain the result.
