SUMMARY:

This research aims to investigate and discuss the love and romantic relationships of homosexual homosexual men, based on the hypothesis that the psychosocial experience of homosexuality in a heteronormatized society based on hegemonic masculinity modulates homo-affective relationships. Initially, it will be discussed about the historical path of love and romantic relationships, as well as about the scientific studies of the theme. Then, the focus is on the history of homosexuality, homosexuality in Brazil and the reflections of the psychosocial experience of homosexuality today. Finally, the themes explained above are taken up again and reflection on love and homoaffective relationships. To achieve the objectives empirically, the research will follow a quantitative and qualitative methodology, using two psychological scales and a semi-structured interview, in which factors intrinsic to the psychosocial experience of homosexuality and romantic relationships will be investigated. The analysis of quantitative data will be carried out using the IBM SPSS Statistics Data Editor software and the analysis of qualitative data will take place under the precepts of Content Analysis by Laurence Bardin. From this, it is expected to understand how homoaffective love relationships are constituted and articulated with social norms.
