SUMMARY:

This research project aims to identify social representations about justice from the political positioning in social groups in Brazil, to investigate adherence to psychosocial values within the scope of political positioning in different social groups in Brazil and to correlate social representations of justice with adherence to values in the researched groups. Through the dialogue between the Theory of Social Representations and the Theory of Values, we seek to discuss psychosocial aspects of political positioning and their relations with the practices and decision-making of individuals in relation to the social groups to which they belong. It is a proposal for a field study, descriptive and of a quantitative-qualitative nature, based on the Theory of Social Representations and the Theory of Values, using fundamentally the Structural Approach of Social Representations (ABRIC, 1998) and the Approach Societal of Values (PEREIRA, CAMINO & COSTA, 2005). Thus, we seek to identify the correlation between social representations and the behavior of individuals, aiming to understand the formation of social representations and social values, and how they also transform the behavior and positioning of individuals belonging to groups.
