SUMMARY:

This project aimed to analyze the functions performed by the technical team of the child care council, focusing on the role of the psychologist in articulation with the perspective of Legal Psychology. This search is based on the interventionist character of the psychologist, without the need to go to the Judiciary. The specific objectives are: to analyze the functions performed by the child care council technical team and, specifically, the role of the psychologist; understand how the work of the psychologist and the multiprofessional team can contribute to the quality of the work developed and, finally, analyze the judicialization process carried out and its implications for the well-being of children and adolescents. The objectives were developed based on the following problem: How psychologists understand their performance in the face of judicialization processes in the Guardianship Council? Among the wishes of the Statute of the Child and Adolescent (ECA), the psychologist appears to give a technical view before the decisions to be taken by the tutelary counselors in guaranteeing the rights and criteria that guide each situation. The methodology will be qualitative and exploratory, and the participants were professional psychologists of the technical team of the Tutelary Councils together with some of the Childhood and Youth Courts of the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro, the instrument was the open questionnaire and the answers were analyzed and categorized in the light of Bardin's (2011). Participants signed the Free and Informed Consent Form through regulation of the Ethics Committee in research with human beings, respecting the dignity of the human person and their protection, as data and content obtained by the research, safeguarding anonymity. This questionnaire was applied individually and in a virtual way. As a result, it was possible to notice how harmful the judicialization of cases can be, as this was associated by the participants with several negative factors, such as "compromising the well-being of those involved" (38.46%), "difficulty of analysis of cases” (38.46%) and “difficulties in family relationships” (15.38%). In addition, we could notice the importance of interdisciplinary work in Tutelary Councils and how this is associated with networking. Finally, it is highlighted that the psychologist plays a fundamental role in cases of judicialization, through practices such as welcoming those involved, highlighted in 53.84% of the answers, which includes qualified listening, which was also present in several responses, as well as the awareness of family members (30.76%) and the recurrence of support from the State (15.38%).
