Acquisition of reading through the biography genre: didactic proposal based on the pedagogy of multiliteracies
Reading. Literacies. Multiliteracies. Biography.
This paper aims to discuss the contributions of multiliteracies to the reading acquisition process. Aware that the formation of a proficient reader is one of the main objectives and one of the biggest challenges of the Portuguese language teacher – although this responsibility is not theirs alone –, our proposal aims to resignify the traditional forms of teaching, considered mechanical and boring by the students and by the teachers themselves. In this sense, making use of technologies and digital media as tools, we propose a didactic sequence based on the textual genre biography, which, due to its undeniable educational strength, will equip us not only in this process of developing proficiency in the mother tongue, but also in training intellectual, personal and social student. For this, we will have as a theoretical contribution Rojo and Moura (2012), Marcuschi (2010), Kleiman (2016), Ingedore Koch and Vanda Elias (2006), Bakhtin (2003), among other authors considered a reference in the subject.
