SUMMARY:

This project and the resulting dissertation propose to elaborate a didactic sequence (DOLZ; NOVERRAZ; SCHNEUWLY, 2004) and a pedagogical notebook, containing activities on the poster genre and the theme “Orange May” – awareness month for combating abuse and sexual exploitation of children and adolescents. This is propositional research, whose products are adapted, as they were originally intended for students in the fifth year of Elementary School at a municipal school located in Nova Iguaçu/RJ and for teachers of that same teaching network. In general terms, it is intended to contribute to the work with textual genres in the early years of Basic Education (FÁVERO; ANDRADE; AQUINO, 2000; MARCUSCHI, 2010; BAKTHIN, 2003; LEAL, 2012, among others listed in the references). More specifically, it aims to: i) expose the characteristics and functionalities of the poster genre; ii) make students aware of the theme “Orange May”, gathering texts from different genres about it; and iii) expand their communicative competence, developing some skills related to the spoken and written modalities of the Portuguese language. Thus, the aim is to achieve contextualized learning of orality and literacy practices, through a theme that, from the year 2022, gains the visibility of a federal law.
