RESUMO:

Based on the theoretical assumptions of Variationist Sociolinguistics and on the application of the continua of linguistic variation proposed by Bortoni-Ricardo (2004), the work seeks to develop a pedagogical mediation with the phenomenon of variation on relativisation structures in the texts of students of middle school, in order to improve the teaching of the Portuguese language and favor the literacy of the students.
