SUMMARY:

This research is based on the observed situation that many students of Youth and Adult Education have a low command of reading skills and textual production. The work has as general objective to propose a didactic sequence for the teaching of culinary recipes, based on multimodality and intergenericity, with a view to expanding the students' literacy to a greater and more profitable social interaction. The specific objectives are: a) to explore the structural and functional characteristics of the culinary recipe genre, using printed format (recipe notebooks, books, newspapers and magazines) and digital through YouTube tutorial videos; b) apply activities on the injunctive textual type and on linguistic and grammatical aspects relevant to that genre as verbal modes and adverbial adjuncts; c) make the student aware of the need for linguistic adequacy, taking into account the level of formality of the communicative situation; d) analyze the results of each stage foreseen by the activities systematized around the genre culinary recipe and e) to investigate the presence of the injunctive textual type and the culinary recipe genre in the teaching material; and f) promote textual production activities, of a more creative nature, based on textual intergenericity. This research was developed with students from class 392, from the 9th grade of elementary school, night shift, in the EJA modality, from the Rudá Iguatemi Villanova Municipal School, located at Avenida da Glória, without number, in the Nova Aurora neighborhood, in Belford Roxo, RJ. The accomplishment of this research is relevant for its social function concerning the contribution of youth and adults enrolled in EJA in the development of the student's autonomy with regard to the reading and production of the focused textual genres and, consequently, of the injunctive type, which address themes based on day to day and, however, they are not much worked in the school sphere. These students have a lot to contribute to the study of genres, which provide an exchange of experiences and favor communication by presenting them as users of the language and interlocutors of an utterance. For this, as a theoretical contribution, the research is based on scholars such as Schneuwly and Dolz (2011); Marcuschi (2008a, 2008b); Vigotski (2000a, 2000b); Koch (2009, 2008, 2003); Rojo and Moura (2012), in addition to reference documents, such as PCN (1997), Curricular Matrix of Belford Roxo (2018), Curricular Guidelines (2000), BNCC (2018), Guiding Documents of Peja (2016) and Curricular Guidelines (2010). It is a qualitative research with a sociointeractionist approach in the teaching of textual genres, combined with Thiollent's action research (1986). As a result of this work, a consequent language proficiency was obtained, resulting from the development of the competences and skills provided for in this research, in addition to the revitalization of knowledge about literacy inherent to textual genres and injunctive text typology, and an improvement in the social interaction of the public covered in this project.
