SUMMARY:

Despite the world evolution and in particular the educacional evolution, work with literature in the school environment has not changed as expected. This paper is dedicated to seeking a path through which the student develop interest and sensitivity for literary texts, starting from literature aimed at children and young people. The following objectives are assumed: (1) provide students with literary experience in its dimension aesthetics, based on the idea of democratization of literature; (2) investigate whether the contact with the literature aimed at children and young people can be a tool for constructing questioning subjectivity; (3) demonstrate that this literature, often considerated minor, appears as one of the instruments expression of the culture in which it is inserted; (4) analyze whether unveil such properties of this literature is one of the ways that can contribute to the training of literary readers. To this end we will work with the classic A Bolsa Amarela, by Lygia Bojunga Nunes, from the perspective of research-intervention, once a strategy is sought that effectivily contributes to the increase of the reading public. Throughout the study with the literary work, two dimensions will be being analyzed: the individual and the collective. In the individual sphere, the researcher will try to understand if and how the main's characther's opinions and actions impact each reader; already in the collective sphere, the intention is to understand if the readers are able to recognize in the work reflections of the culture in which they are inserted. The research will be carried out at CIEP Cora Coralina, located in the municipality of Duque de Caxias, in Baixada Fluminense, between the years 2019 and 2020, with students aged 10 to 12 years old, attending the sixth grade of elementary school, through full reading of the work in the classroom, accompanied by debates and records which will form the database for this qualitative research.
