SUMMARY:

This research aims to propose didactic activities through Literacy Projects focused on textual genres of argumentative basis such as the Open Letter and the Podcast, for students of the 8th and 9th years of Elementary School of Youth and Adult Education (EJA). The work is justified by the fact that a complex relationship has been identified between the teaching of mother tongue that has been carried out (traditional x Literacy projects) and the current demand of this teaching object in view of the profile of the target audience of the EJA that permeates the low schooling, the current school gap, in addition to illiteracy or functional illiteracy that intensified during and after the pandemic period. Therefore, this research seeks to enable compatible steels between students and their social practices to make them subjects co-responsible for the construction and production of meanings, both in the school space and in the school extramurals, providing a critical development necessary for a more participatory citizen action, besides developing the reading, writer, interpretive and reflective skills. In addition, three specific objectives were set: 1) To explore the structure and social role of texts based on argumentative; 2) To propose activities aimed at the use of logical-semantic operators of an argumentative nature and 3) to lead the students to produce a podcast, aimed at defending a point of view on a topic of public interest. For this, a qualitative approach of the practical use of oral and written language of the individual in its multiple functionalities is used, aiming to develop reading and writing skills as a social practice for solving problem situations, besides dealing with an exploratory research to offer subsidies to Portuguese-speaking teachers, especially those of the EJA,  modality lacking didactic material. . And for the scope of these actions, the research, in relation to theoretical support, seeks to reflect on the view of some authors such as Martins (2006) and Lerner (2002) on the teaching of reading and writing, in addition to Soares (2020) and Rojo Moura (2012), on literacy and multiliteracies at school, Tinoco (2008) and Oliveira, Tinoco and Santos (2014) on Literacy Projects,  Marcushi (2001) on textual genre and textual type, mainly argumentation. In addition, we also seek support in the supporting documents of basic education, as in the one advocated by ldb and bncc to help the referral of this research.
