SUMMARY:

This research intends to suggest a literary reading experience adapted to the pandemic context from the work "O Alienista" by Machado de Assis (1882), directed to students of final years Midle School. The academic objective is to set up a pedagogical copybook of activities that can be, at the same time, pleasurable and dialogical with the social functions of writing, opportunistic to the public school student not only contact with the literary text, but also with texts from social circulation that permeate a democratic society and are little explored in the school universe. For this, his it proposes initial activities of reading circles inspired by Freire (1963) and Cosson (2021), adapted to the pandemic context from the support of the audiobook of the Librivox project and retextualization activities based on the experience of Dell'Isola (2007). Throughout the elaboration of the propositions, it is intended to describe the experience of dodiscence from notes of a reflexive nature in a field diary, reporting the adaptations, as well as facilities and difficulties of the experience.
