SUMMARY:

Considering literature, the reading of texts for the human and citizen formation for the development of the habit of use and the reading of if offered, during Basic Education, the literary text produced by figures, this work discusses the orientation of the National Common Base Curriculum on the teaching of literature and presents how this science is considered in this document, as well as discussing the absence of this teaching in contemporary teaching materials. It is also relevant to elucidate the creation of this teaching practice and propose a different approach to literature, based on a construction of a didactic basis for quality teaching Fundamental Year Finals.
