Developing Reading Comprehension of Multisemiotic Texts with Elementary School II Students

This project aims to research, analyze, and propose a reading methodology for multisemiotic texts. The introduction discusses the motivation for this research, the theorists behind it, its objectives, and the underlying problem. The second section presents the theoretical and methodological foundation, which is based on the relationship between existential phenomenology and reading, Mikhail Bakhtin's ideas on language, dialogism, and textual genres, and concepts of multiliteracies. The third section discusses multisemiotic texts and the digital age. The fourth section addresses the concepts of reading, multiliteracies, and comprehension, as well as a reading proposal for use with middle school students. in the fifth section, there is the research timeline, in the sixth section, we will seek to demonstrate that reading comprehension should be the focus of work with reading and that multisemiotic reading is of great importance in the formation of the subjectivity of the subject-readers, in the seventh section, there is the research data and in the eighth section are the final considerations.
