RESUMO:

The present paper intends to develop strategies for the efficient practice of reading and writing, from a more meaningful and conscious learning of the linguistic, grammatical and aesthetic uses of the Portuguese Language. Although it is very common to work with texts of the narrative genre throughout the Elementary School, many students still think it difficult to create a written history, especially in terms of their structuring, clarity of ideas, or spelling. Thus, it was verified that, among the literary genres, the Fable would be the great ally in the execution of this work, as it is not only a narrative text, it is simple, it is concise, it is allegorical, it is creative and it carries in itself a moral approach, very important for the development of the student's critical-reflexive thinking, inserted in a society constantly affected by violence and the consequences of corruption. This project, therefore, is intended for students in the 7th year of Elementary School.
