RESUMO:

Based on the theoretical assumptions of Variationist Sociolinguistics
and on the application of the continua of linguistic variation proposed
by Bortoni-Ricardo (2004), the work seeks to develop a pedagogical
mediation with the phenomenon of variation on the expression of
second-person singular in texts of middle school students, in order to
improve the teaching of the Portuguese language and favor the literacy
of the students.
