This research/intervention presents didactic experience based on the
inclusion of new information and communication technologies and on the analysis
and production of interviews. Based on Interaction Sociolinguistics - a branch of
sociolinguistic studies focused on the use of language in the processes of interaction
in specific sociocultural contexts, as well as in the construction of the relationship
between the speakers, from which Gumperz’s work (1982), also, by association,
Goffman's microsciology (1964, 1969), as well as the studies of linguistic politeness
developed by Brown and Levinson (1987) from the goffmanian "face" and the
methodology of analysis of Bortoni-Ricardo's communication strategies (2004, 2014)
- and the Analysis of the Conversation – current of investigation interested in the
empirical study of the spoken interaction and in the way it is cooperatively managed
by the participants, such as the work of Sacks, Schegloff and Jefferson (1974),
Kerbrat-Orecchioni (2006) and Marcuschi (1997, 2001, 2008) -, this proposal
emphasized to the students of the final years of Elementary School the importance of
contextual factors and also the need to use politeness strategies in the discursive
negotiations demanded by the communicative interactions in which we participate.
The objectives pursued by this research were the development of linguistic-
discursive awareness and also the increase of sociocommunicative competence,
measured in the form of interviews. The practice of the interview genre was mediated
by the use of the mobile phone and also of the instant messaging application
WhatsApp, being submitted to the hypothesis that the pedagogical use of these
technologies is able to promote the collective and cooperative learning of forms and
uses of the portuguese language. Throughout the research and according to the
hypothesis proposed, the interview was able to enable cooperative participation in
the construction of texts and speeches, besides being an opportunity to apply
politeness strategies in order to promote harmony in interpersonal relationships,
while the pedagogical use of mobile phones and WhatsApp allowed us to value the
communicative practices of students and the expansion of learning opportunities
beyond the classroom environment.
