From poetry to rap: a retextualization proposal
for the final grades of elementary school.

This paper aims to present a discussion about the use of the textual genre song in the
pedagogical notebooks of the municipal schools of Rio de Janeiro, more specifically the
subgenus Rap, in a ninth-year class of the second segment of the teaching Fundamental.
The objective is to stimulate the participation of these students in Portuguese language
classes, based on the assumption that the use of the aforementioned genre, very present
in the daily life of the young Carioca, would encourage them to develop activities of
reading and production Textual. To achieve this goal, the present dissertation suggests,
through the methodology of Action Research (THIOLLENT, 1985), intervention
activities for the students of the aforementioned series, having as starting point the
poem, textual genre very similar to rap, in That concerns the form. The dynamics
focused on analyzing linguistic strategies of poems and raps, culminating in textual
production, through retextualization, of this latter genus. In order to give theoretical
support to the research, several authors of studies on textual genres were consulted,
including Marcuschi (2001) and Bakthin (2011).
