SUMMARY:

This study aims to develop research on textual referencing, more specifically co-referentiality (direct anaphora). The topic has its studies developed by research based on the area of Textual Linguistics. The aim of the research is to understand referencing as a discursive activity and also as a driver of proficiency in reading and writing. This concept goes far beyond textual cohesion, as it is a textual-discursive process. We then propose a more discursive study of anaphoric resumptions in texts focusing on textual genres and textual sequences in a communicative context of public awareness campaigns. The research is based on a propositional nature, supported by Resolution No. 002/2022 – Profletras General Coordination Management Council, of February 1, 2022. This is a qualitative methodology research, which seeks to explore reading and writing through of an educational product that will be provided through an activity notebook with didactic proposals for teachers to apply in the grade 8th  elementary school classes with nine modules developed from pre-textual, textual and post-textual activities. The chosen themes of colored ribbon campaigns are: Blue April (TEA), Yellow May (Traffic), Green June (Environment) / Red June (Blood donation), Lilac August (Domestic Violence), Yellow September (Suicide) , Pink October (Women's Health), Blue November (Men's Health) and Red December (Aids/HIV/STI). The specific objectives of the research are: a) describe the methodological path to improve reading and writing through textual genres linked to public campaigns; b) identify, in texts, direct anaphora as a process of progression and thematic maintenance that uses the categorization of referents; c) recognize textual referents such as noun phrases, pronouns, ellipses, numerals, adverbs, synonymy, hyperonymy, defined and indefinite nominal expressions;  d) highlight the reference in official documents, such as PCNs, Saeb and BNCC Test Descriptors; e) understand co-referentiality based on genres associated with the themes of awareness campaigns proposed by public administration and f) improve teaching practice based on experience as a teacher-researcher in the Professional Master's Course in Literature – ProfLetras. The methodological path of the study is based on Dolz, Noverraz and Schnewuly (2004), Gil (2002); Goldenberg (1997).
