SUMMARY:

From noticing the usage of literary texts in classrooms as a pretext to work grammatical activities, which require the mastering of standard grammar rules in writing; for cases in which purely technical aspects are dealt with; or even for exclusively interpretative-character exercises, this research has the objective of promoting an adequate proposal of literary literacy through the reading of the book A Bolsa Amarela, by Lygia Bojunga, published in 1976. The objectives, thus, are set as the democratization of literature, considering school as a privileged space for the access of beginning readers to the literary book; and the proposal of a didactic sequence, based on the studies of Rildo Cosson, aiming for the literary literacy of students. For this purpose, the intervention-research perspective is adopted, once that, with recurring flaws in schooling of literature identified, a strategy that effectively contributes towards the formation of the literary reader is searched. The sequence for the literary reading of one of literature classics oriented to infant-juvenile public, by Lygia Bojunga, was developed focusing on students between 10 and 12 years old, in the sixth grade of middle school, in a public institution, the CIEP Cora Coralina, located in the city of Duque de Caxias, at the Baixada Fluminense region; and it is concretized by the integral reading of the book in the classroom, followed by debates and written registers, which would build the database in a qualitative character. Having in mind the impossibility of applying the research due to the pandemic scenario, it won’t be possible to expose the results of its application. However, the didactic sequence is presented in hope it can be applied in a near future.
