Thinking about the Portuguese language class almost always refers to reading and interpreting texts, assignments, internal and external tests and contests. Working on important issues for citizenship and collectivity, which help in a better understanding of the subject of the discipline and, above all, of life itself. Educating is a political act and politics is the art of building consensus through dialogue. Reading the world is central for a transformative Education. It is unthinkable to have classes without dialogue. Everybody want full citizens, but it is not commom to talk about citizenship, racism, quotas, democracy, social inequality, misogyny, patriarchy, drugs, institutions, cultures, work, place of speech, place in the world. How to rehabilitate this essential skill for life in society?
