SOIL CARBON AND NITROGEN STOCKS AND ORGANIC FRACTIONS UNDER DIFFERENT AGRICULTURAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND IN NATIVE VEGETATION IN THE CERRADO
MRV protocol. Particulate Organic Carbon (COP). Organic Carbon Associated with Minerals (COAM). Organic matter
Soil organic matter (SOM) is a crucial key component for maintaining the determination of soil quality and sustainability, being sensitively affected by inappropriate land use and intensive management practices. The objective of this work is to evaluate the stocks of organic C and N in the soil and in the organic fractions in soils of the Cerrado biome. The study will be conducted at Fazenda Estrela do Lamarão, in the municipality of Unaí-MG. Deformed and undisturbed earth samples will be collected at depths 0-5, 5-10, 10-20, 20-30, 30-40, 40-60, 60-80 and 80-100 cm. C and N stocks will be calculated in the 0-10, 0-30 and 0-100 cm soil layers. The experiment will be in randomized block design (DBC), with four replications. The separation of particulate organic carbon (COP) and organic carbon associated with minerals (COAM) will also be carried out. It is expected to contribute to the results of the spatial monitoring of carbon in the soil of the Ccerrado, with the possibility of indicating the COP fraction as a sensitive indicator of total carbon C in the soil. , that is, cIt is also expected to contribute to the development of a Measurement, Report and Verification (MRV) protocol of carbon changes in the soil, in order to make the soil sampling process more economical, faster and more accurate.
