SUMMARY:

The use of wastewater from dairy cattle in the agricultural sector has been demonstrated in several studies as an alternative source for irrigation, as well as for fertigation of various plant species. The study aims at treating wastewater from dairy cattle and obtaining a liquid organic biofertilizer for fertigation of chives (Allium schoenoprasum L.) and parsley (Petroselinum crispum) in an organic production system. The study will be carried out in the Integrated Agroecological Production System (SIPA), which is an agreement between the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro, EMBRAPA Agrobiologia, PESAGRO-Rio and CTUR located in the municipality of Seropédica. The sampling strategy for the elaboration of the project will be divided into two stages, in the first stage the treatment of the effluent from the activity of dairy cattle will be carried out in a pilot biological treatment unit, composed of an anaerobic filter of ascending flow, constructed wetland and panel of solar disinfection. The second stage will consist of carrying out an agricultural experiment to evaluate the efficiency of the biofertilizer obtained from the treatment plant. The physical-chemical analyzes of the treated effluent will be carried out at the Environmental Monitoring Laboratory at DE/UFRRJ and the biological analyzes at the Analytical Laboratory of Food and Beverages at DTA/UFRRJ. Therefore, it is expected that solar disinfection is sufficient to produce a sterilized biofertilizer for use in fertirrigation in vegetable crops.
