Evaluation of the use of binders on the hardness and solubility of organomineral fertilizers
cane molasses, corn starch, swine, consistency
One of the biggest challenges in the production of granular organic and mineral fertilizers is achieving the ideal degree of consistency in order to provide an adequate release of nutrients for the plants, in addition to increasing resistance to breakage or abrasion in the storage, transport or handling of the fertilizer . In this context, this research aims to evaluate the use of different binders in increasing the consistency hardness of organomineral fertilizer granules, in order to increase their physical quality and agronomic efficiency. Organic materials with less polluting potential will be used as binding sources, such as sugarcane molasses and corn starch at different concentrations. Bench tests will be installed to verify the hardness and dissolution time and the NPK release kinetics in a dissolution apparatus for each of the new formulations evaluated. It is expected to obtain organomineral fertilizers through a simple technology, low cost, ecologically sustainable and accessible to small rural producers.
