RESUMO:

It is justified by the scarcity of studies with these types of wastes in composting for the production of organic fertilizers. The results of this study may include technical recommendations on the use of this waste by organic fertilizer manufacturers or by breweries that may treat the waste itself. Brazilian beer production generates 3,500 million waste per year, which can be destined to produce fertilizers will bring benefits to the soil, breweries, fertilizers and the environment. Hypothesis: Diatomaceous earth reduces nitrogen losses by ammonia volatilization compared to other adsorbent materials (zeolite and biochar). General Objective To reduce nitrogen losses by ammonia volatilization in composting of brewery waste. Specific Objectives • To compare the use of in-nature and post-compost residues by chemical characterization and germination tests; • Comparison and effect of diatomaceous earth with mineral zeolite and biochar. • Evaluate the organic fertilizer produced according to MAPA standards
